In the last years, John Jenkins Designs produced several boats, ranging from massive Roman warships to tiny Chinese cormorant fishing rafts. Those ships are now so numerous that they could be almost considered as a collection dispersed within other collections. The latest addition to this theme is the JJ-WSP-100 - River Keel Boat, a mandatory piece for the Whiskey, Scalps And Beaver Pelts product line.

In December 2021, King and Country released two Saracen archers. At first, they were planning to do only two different models. But those were looking so good that King and Country decided to add five other archers to the pack. This month, those five extra archers finally arrived. This swashbuckler novel is filled with intrigue, action and fascinating fictional and historical characters. Since its release in 1844, it has been adapted to cinema, opera, ballet, comic book… and toy soldiers! February 1st 1894 saw the birth of a film director who marked the history of the Western movies. His work is responsible for the interest that many collectors have in this genre. His movies even inspired a whole collection by King and Country. In fact, he probably had an impact on many other collections with the numerous war documentaries he produced when working with the Office of Strategic Services. So, to commemorate this important birthday, the monthly blog entry is about John Ford.
